Oasis Given Football Shirt

Band Honored By Del Piero Gesture

Mancunian wind up merchant and all round good egg Noel Gallagher has claimed that he will flog a shirt given to him on Italian TV on the internet auction site eBay.

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher was presented with a Juventus shirt belonging to the famed footballer Allesandro Del Piero on Italian TV, and has joked that he intends to sell it. The songwriter was presented with the shirt on Italy’s ‘Che Tempo Che Fa’ show, on which Del Piero spoke by phone.

Gallagher and the footballer are apparently old friends, with Del Piero thanking the Oasis man for making “inspiring” music. The guitarist was then presented with a signed shirt, before Gallagher shouted “eBay!”, to the amusement of the gathered audience.

Oasis are currently winding down in preparation for a massive UK tour next year. The band intend to play a series of huge shows in venues such as Ireland’s Slane Castle and Scotland’s Murrayfield Stadium.
