Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher has launched a new blog following the band’s adventures on their US tour, and has revealed an admiration for US presidential candidate Barack Obama.
The Manchester band are currently undertaking a massive North American tour, and to alleviate boredom Noel Gallagher has begun a blog, which can be read on the official Oasis site.
Gallagher explained that he watched Obama accept the Democratic party nomination and was left inspired by the politician’s speech. He comeented: “Impressive stuff. Spellbinding in fact. Wish he was one of ours. Why do Americans believe they’re electing the president of THE WORLD though?”
In addition to this the guitarist also revealed his frustrations about fans constantly requesting photos. Writing in his blog he described being in a hotel as a wedding party was leaving. “Some old lady approaches us to ask if we’d mind doing a ‘quick picture’ with the bride and groom! ‘Erm… no, I don’t think so’ (who do they think we are? Robbie Williams?) ‘Oh, go on, the bride will be heartbroken’. ‘Good’, I think to myself, and off we go to the venue.”
