Chart busting musical Mancs Oasis are set to play a massive gig in Slane Castle, Ireland – part of a series of ‘super-gigs’ the band have planned for next year.
The band woke this morning to the news that their new album ‘Dig Out Your Soul’ has scored their biggest stateside success in a decade. The new album soared into the charts at number five, their highest charting since ‘Be Here Now’ in 1997.
Oasis have announced details of the first in a series of super-gigs for 2009. The band will play Slane Castle in ireland on June 20th, a venue they last played in 1995 when they supported American giants REM. The venue is capable of holding up to 100,000 fans, which would make it the biggest gig Oasis have played in some years.
Tickets go on sale on October 24th at 8am, and are limited to eight per person.
Oasis previously revealed that they are set to play a massive show in Manchester next year, but refused to name the venue other than to say it would be unexpected.
