Nukuluk’s ‘Covered In Gold’ Is A Scintillating Return

Experimental UK rap with electronic production...

South London collective Nukuluk return with new single ‘Covered In Gold’.

The wide-ranging group meld together future-facing electronic production with UK rap styles, resulting in something potent, and ultra-distinctive. Debut EP ‘DISASTER POP’ made a huge impression on its release last year, with Nukuluk now ready to share something new.

Out now, the lawless production on ‘Covered In Gold’ recalls the digi-rap experimentation of Danny Brown. A bold expression from the South London collective, the track hauls Nukuluk into fresh, unexplored arenas.

The full video for ‘Covered In Gold’ was directed by Nukuluk members Mateo and olivia. Working alongside long term collaborator Mike Raymond, they explain: “It draws on the themes of exploration, awe and the mythic; originally rooted in a desire to play with folkloric children’s stories it evolved into a story of a wandering, lonesome figure.”

Tune in now.
