UK collective Nubiyan Twist have shared new album ‘Find Your Flame’ in full.
The band are a stunning live experience, melding together club tropes, soulful vocals, and the improvisatory nous of jazz. Heading back into the studio, Nubiyan Twist invited a plethora of guests into their world, resulting in a series of experimental recordings.
Embracing evolution, ‘Find Your Flame’ steps up the energy, while pivoting between genre lines. Disco king Nile Rodgers is on here, with the CHIC guitarist joined by afrobeat guru Seun Kuti, the wonderful corto.alto, and NEONE the Wonderer.
On a more internal note, Sheffield-based vocalist Aziza Jaye takes a central role, with her voice helping to blend all those influences into one potent whole.
Out now, it’s a serious tip – one of the best recordings put down on wax by a fantastic British group.

But most importantly, the collaborative process helped reignite a liberating fire of resistance in each of us”.
