UK dance craze Northern Soul is set to be immortalized in a new film called “Souled Out”, which is set to star “Sweet Sixteen” actor Martin Compston.

The new film will feature a soundtrack including contributions from Paul Weller, Duffy and US band The Dap Tones. Northern Soul has received something of a public boost in recent times with Duffy’s “Mercy” video featuring soul heads such as Keb Darge and Paul Quinn.
The movies producers are seeking genuine Northern Soul dancers for the film, which will be filmed in Stoke-On-Trent, near the site of legendary soul club Golden Torch.
