Normani Taps Into Her Houston Roots For ‘Candy Paint’

The second single from her upcoming album...

R&B goddess Normani has shared new single ‘Candy Paint’.

The singer’s long-awaited album ‘DOPAMINE’ is scheduled to land next month, following a lengthy gestation period. Out on June 14th, it was previewed with Normani’s epic ‘1:59’ single, with its sizzling chorus and punchy Gunna feature.

New single ‘Candy Paint’ continues her journey. On streaming services now, the title references her Houston roots – it’s a name-check for the Texan city’s iconic candy-painted lowriders.

The vocal is sublime, while the production has that summer feel; an uplifting, vibey dose of sparkling, arena-filling R&B, ‘Candy Paint’ could only come from one artist.

Operating in full effect, Normani says: “If you let me take it you might not ever get him back, I’m a baddie and I don’t know how to act. Booty candy painting with the diamond in the back…”

Tune in now.
