Renowned music therapy charity Nordoff-Robbins have teamed up with Ben Sherman to present a stunning auction featuring signed plectrums from Kings Of Leon, Razorlight and more.
Nordoff-Robbins helps severely disabled children enjoy a better standard of life through music. Helping those afflicted by serious health problems to engage with hugely popular singers in the past the charity has worked with some chart topping stars.
Now in a new project Nordoff-Robbins have linked forces with clothing giant Ben Sherman. The pair have organised for a series of top bands to sign a plectrum, which will be gathered together and sold at auction.
The box of plectrums will contain the signature of such groups as Klaxons, Razorlight, Kings Of Leon and many more. The bands have also donated a note describing each performance, detailing where and why they were gigging.
The auction starts on October 11th and last for four weeks, with different sets of lots going live each week.
This is the start of a busy period for Nordoff Robbins. The charity famously gives bands who have helped them a clef in recognition of their services.
A Scottish ceremony – the Tartan Clefs – are due to take place soon, with the lavish event being dubbed the ‘Scottish Brits’ by some pundits. Further south, the Silver Clefs in London have been upgraded to the O2 Arena and boasts performances from Razorlight, Robert Plant and many more.
Nordoff-Robbins and Ben Sherman launch their new auction on October 11th.
