Noel Gallagher is set to return to the nation’s airwaves to co-host a one off show on Absolute Radio.
Noel Gallagher just seems to effortlessly pull witty comments out of the air. The guitarist’s barbed wit has sparked arguments with countless fellow musicians, but his often perceptive remarks are great for fuelling debate.
Previously appearing on national radio with close friend Russell Brand, Noel Gallagher offered wisdom on a variety of topics. Now Absolute Radio have coaxed the songwriter into making a return to the nation’s airwaves.
Putting his solo career to one side, Noel Gallagher will co-host the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show. Taking place on October 14th, the show’s early start could well result in some controversy.
“Noel is a legend – plain and simple. He’s been in the business for 20 years and there’s nothing he doesn’t know about making records” explained O’Connell.
“That said, he knows bugger-all about being a DJ so I’m going to get the bleeper machine ready and throw him in at the deep end to see what he’s made of. Who knows, if it works out I could be his new wing-man – I hear the last guy didn’t work out so well.”
Noel Gallagher will co-host the Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show on Friday 14th of October.
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are gearing up for their first full tour. The songwriter will unveil material from his forthcoming solo album, throwing in a few Oasis classics for good measure.
Opening in Dublin, highlights of the forthcoming tour include a Manchester show and three nights in London.
