Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have shared new single 'Wandering Star' – tune in now.
The guitarist popped into his spiritual home Abbey Road last year, working on fresh material.
New EP 'Blue Moon Rising' arrives on March 6th, and the latest preview is online now.
'Wandering Star' has a beatific edge, a song that continues Noel's psychedelic deviations while retaining a fondness for blissful melody.
There are shades of Spiritualized on here, the driving melody augmented by a subtle chorus in the background.
Also, are those bells quite festive, or are we simply feeling the Christmas spirit a little too much?
Produced by Noel himself, he comments: "It was written in Abbey Road last November on the same day I wrote 'Black Star Dancing'. It's that good, it sounds like it took 5.4 people to come up with it. It's already a live standard and we haven't even played it yet."
