Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has praised foul mouthed pop singer Lily Allen, calling her “a good kid”.
Noel Gallagher is currently on the biggest UK tour Oasis have faced since their mid 90s pomp. Announcing the massive dates the band took a number of huge acts on tour with them, including The Enemy and Kasabian.
Playing such enormous venues as Heaton Park in Manchester and Scotland’s Murrayfield stadium, the group have played to countless fans already. With a stint at Wembley fast approaching, the band have taken time off to start the European festival circuit.
With their vast array of crowd pleasing anthems, Oasis are perhaps the perfect festival act. This summer the group are set to play The Eden Sessions in Cornwall, but it is on the continent where the action is at.
The Gallaghers & Co. are set to headline Denmark’s historic Roskilde event, before heading over to Spain for Benicassim. Recent performing at the Rock Werchter festival in Belgium, the group met pop singer Lily Allen.
With her wild partying and her habit of saying the wrong thing in interviews, Lily Allen is the perfect foil for the Gallagher brothers. In a new blog Noel Gallagher praises the foul mouthed singer, who he reveals he first met when she was a child.
“I haven’t seen her in a while. I’ve known Lil since she was a kid” he wrote.
“Her old fella used to bring her round to that Supernova Heights gaff of mine in the ’90s. A good kid. Works hard, plays hard.”
Lily Allen released her new album earlier this year. Spawning massive hit singles such as ‘The Fear’ the singer embarked on a massive UK tour before heading out to the United States.
The singer has been receiving some unusual praise of late. After a sizzling set at Glastonbury this summer rival popster Florence Welch proclaimed Allen to be “hot”.
Lily Allen is set to perform at T In The Park this weekend (July 10th – 12th).

UPDATE
Oasis just can’t seem to turn off their computer at the moment. Liam Gallagher took a Twitter aided pop at his older brother, revealing to fans that the guitarist is to indulge a long standing ambition.
“Just heard through the grapevine that Noely G is playing guitar on The Nolan Sisters’ comeback tour,” wrote the younger Gallagher. “…B Jeezus…”
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has made another one of those pesky drugs claims. In an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera the songwriter states:
“Up until 1998 I must have spent £1 million on drugs – then I stopped, because it is bad for your health, brain, life and for people around you. But while you use them – except for heroin which kills people and which I have never tried – as you lot (Italians) would say, ‘Mamma Mia’.”
