Oh, that Noel Gallagher…

Whenever the one time time Oasis songsmith opens his mouth several mp3 recorders appear, with journalists forming an orderly queue to absorb his wisdom. A true street scholar, Noel Gallagher’s use of the press has arguably increased the hype around his new album, sending it to number one on the British charts.

Deciding to take his press offensive out to the United States. First stop? The Late Show With David Letterman. An important hub for any performer wanting to make it, Noel Gallagher rocked through ‘If I Had A Gun’ to open his American account.

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher’s camp recently came into contact with Katie Holmes. Inadvertently filming the actress, the Hollywood star apparently contacted the guitarist and ordered his the shots to be deleted.

“We literally bumped into that top Scientologist Katie Holmes on the way into the studio. We came out of the lift and bang, there she was” he wrote on his blog.

“Now at this point my mate Scully was doing a bit of filming for my website and managed to capture the moment. She did look a bit miffed at the various North-West accents and some vigorous handshaking, but there was no need to send one of her people over to demand the video be deleted! Un-fuckin’-believable.”

‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ is out now.
