Noah And The Whale are set to return in March with a new album and a string of tour dates.
Beginning as a carefree indie folk group, Noah And The Whale first found fame with the annoyingly catchy single ‘5 Years Time’. However songwriter Charlie Fink split with his girlfriend Laura Marling soon afterwards, causing an enormous re-think.
Hooking up with an orchestra and a choir, Noah And The Whale had a sudden injection of ambition. Second album ‘First Days Of Spring’ was simply stunning, an enormous leap forwards for the group.
Touring across the country, the band also displayed a film they made to accompany the album. Noah And The Whale took time off this summer to record new material, and will now release their third album in March.
‘Last Night On Earth’ is set to be released on Young & Lost Club in March. Charlie Fink co-produced the album which was recorded between a synagogue in Bethnal Green and studios in and around Los Angeles.
Little has been heard from the new album, but the reception afforded to ‘First Days Of Spring’ means that fans across the country are on tenterhooks.
Just as well Noah And The Whale have arranged a series of live shows, then. The band will open their latest tour in London at the Bush Hall on January 26th, with this date already sold out.
A show at London’s Koko venue follows, before Noah And The Whale play dates in Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Dublin and more. Finishing in Bristol on April 4th tickets for the shows are on sale now.
