No New Material Until 2010

Californian ska-punk legends No Doubt have admitted that they are unlikely to release any new material until 2010, it has been reported.

Emerging from the West Coast skate scene, No Doubt moved from underground origins to become a multi-million selling operation. The launch pad for the career of Gwen Stefani, the group split a few years ago but recently announced they would be reforming.

In a recent interview Stefani hinted at the possibility of new material, but drummer Adrian Young recently told MTV “we’ve been working on a new record off and on now for a bit of time, and we’re going to continue to work on a new record next year.”

He continued by saying that “we’re going to start touring in the spring of 2009 through the summer, and we’re going to continue to work on music while we’re travelling.”

The drummer also claimed the group were planning to install a mobile studio on their tour bus.
