What do you get when three of the most exciting and characteristic front men around embark on a nationwide tour of the States? Injured, apparently.
Last night as the Deerhunter, Dan Deacon and No Age tour reached the Milwaukee leg of their tour at the Turner Hall Ballroom, disaster struck as No Age‘s Randy Randall injured himself during a dance off that involved all three groundbreaking indie acts.
As the show neared its end Dan Deacon Dj-ed as Deerhunter‘s Bradford Cox competed with Randall in a dance off. The pair hyped the crowd up with promises of the loser of the competition giving their merchandise away to the crowd for free. Unfortunately for the crowd and for Randall, he managed to slip on spilt beer before any conclusion could be reached, and ended up writhing around in agony on the floor. An ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital where he was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder.
No Age, a band no strangers to raucous live shows having built up a reputation playing at the infamous The Smell nightclub in LA, have released a statement through their website saying that Randall is fine, but they are not sure whether they will be able to play as scheduled at Lollapalooza.
