American noise pop duo No Age are set to release a new film soundtrack as a free download.
No Age believe in community. Where other bands head straight to New York to make their name, the noise pop duo have steadfastly remained in Los Angeles where an exciting scene has fostered.
Artists swap their paint brushes for guitars, while producers switch off their laptops and make a film. No Age recently took time off their work on a new album to score a film for a close friend, and have decided to release the results.
Having its premiere last month, ‘Aanteni’ is a NSFW short film by fashion house Rodarte and featured a score from the noise pop duo.
Recorded live while playing in front of the film, the contribution from No Age is sixteen minutes of droning feedback. Performing at the Los Angeles venue the Red Cat the band have described the performance as “a different adaptation of the score, and it was about twice as long.”

No Age are currently working on their new album. Signed to Sub Pop the duo released their acclaimed album ‘Nouns’ in 2008, following this shortly thereafter with the ‘Losing Feeling’ EP last Autumn.
