No Age EP Details

New release confirmed

South California mentalists No Age are due to return later this year with their new EP ‘Losing Feeling’.

The aura of the 80s underground community retains a huge influence over emerging musicians. With the internet providing an alienating affect on some young people, many new groups hark back to the tight-knit spirit of the American post-hardcore scene.

Labels such as SST, Touch And Go and more are inspiring a new generation to be themselves, and making thought-provoking rock music. No Age are foremost amongst this wave of groups, and even take their name from an old SST cassette compilation.

With strong ties to the Los Angeles music scene, No Age ventured forth into the wider world with the release of their debut album ‘Nouns’. Hailed by critics, it saw the noise-pop duo thrust into the media spotlight.

However the two-piece have not lost sight of their roots, with No Age retreating to their rehearsal room to work on new material. The resulting EP is one of their most thrilling to date, with its rough and ready feel inspired by their basic surroundings.

No Age even went as far as recording one of the tracks on the new EP at their practice space. For the remaining three tracks the group worked in Infrasonic Sound – also in Los Angeles.

The duo have built up a UK fan base through their frenetic live performances. Beset by landfill indie, many music fans have adopted a similarly retro stance to their Stateside cousins.

No Age played the inaugural Shred Yr Face tour, alongside Los Campesinos! and Times New Viking. Recording a split single to celebrate the feat, the tour has come to represent a resurgence in proper, credible, old school independent music.

Available on 12 inch vinyl, ‘Losing Feeling’ will also be able to buy as a digital files. The EP will not, however, be available to purchase on CD.

No Age are due to release their new EP ‘Losing Feeling’ on October 5th. Tracklisting is as follows:

1. Losing Feeling
2. Genie
3. Aim at the Airport
4. You’re a Target
