American industrial icons Nine Inch Nails have decided to sell off their touring equipment.
It was the longest goodbye in music. Saying ‘farewell’ to their fans more often than Frank Sinatra, industrial legends Nine Inch Nails played a lengthy series of dates across the world to mark the completion of their life as a touring band.
Trent Reznor confirmed that the group would stop playing shows, with future projects to be exclusively studio bound.
Playing a final series of shows on America’s West Coast in September, Nine Inch Nails played their final gig at the Los Angeles Wiltern Theatre on September 10th.
So it looks as if they won’t be need all those rigs, PAs, amplifiers and microphone stands cluttering up their cupboard. In a new move Nine Inch Nails have confirmed that they are set to auction off their touring equipment on eBay.
A message on the band’s official website said:
“We’ve been going through the NIN touring and studio rigs and are getting rid of a large selection of gear and equipment the band is no longer in need of. We do not know which (if any) tour these items are from unless specified, nor can we get any items autographed, so please do not ask.”
Nine Inch Nails have listed a huge batch of equipment, including “hundreds” more to come. Items set to go up for sale include guitars, keyboards, amps, drums, cables and effects pedals.
