Following the release of her ‘Middle of Nowhere’ EP earlier this year, Manchester-based artist Nina Cobham teases a new era with ‘just to feel something’ – the first single from new project ‘Antes’ landing early next year.
Drifting between English and Spanish, Cobham’s tempered world-building comes through in a bossa-inspired mid-tempo. Thematically, Cobham searches for tangible connection in the foggy expanse of her twenties.
Of what inspired her new single, Cobham says: “It’s about making not-the-best decisions just to feel something, or convincing myself to care in situations I didn’t really care about, just to have something else to focus on. Getting myself involved, not even for the person, just for the distraction. I think this is one that the lyrics are kind of self explanatory, there’s no hidden meanings.”
Tune in now.
