NIIA Announces New Album ‘Bobby Deerfield’

There's an Al Pacino connection to her soulful opus...

NIIA has shared details of incoming album ‘Bobby Deerfield’.

The LA artist pushes herself further than ever on this incoming album, her third LP to date. A document of personal progression and evolution, it is tied to the unfairly maligned 1974 drama of the same name, which starred Al Pacino.

The film deals with the travails of a Formula 1 driver, and NIIA grapples with themes of speed, repetition, and desire to follow your own path on her incoming Jonathan Wilson produced record.

Out on June 23rd, it’s led by new single ‘Alfa Romeo’ – dulcet soul with jazz tinges, the sense of classic here is matched to her inimitable originality.

She comments…

“‘Alfa Romeo’ the car Bobby Deerfield raced. Alfa Romeo the old car is a metaphor for my father. This song is about what I needed to say to evolve and forgive.”

Tune in now.
