Nightbus have shared new single ‘Exposed To Some Light’.
The Manchester trio have caused a buzz with their potent yet restrained sound, melding icy, fractal synths with a minimalist, post-punk chassis. Reminiscent of Cabaret Voltaire in places, you can also hear aspects of early Rapture, or Manchester’s own post-punk lineage.
Set to play London’s George Tavern on November 2nd, new single ‘Exposed To Some Light’ is out now via So Young Records. A terrific piece of songwriting, it shows real imagination, composed from multiple fragments while achieving a seamless whole.
Each instrument feels balanced, the taut musicality displaying Nightbus at their most unified. The group comment…
“‘Exposed To Some Light’ for some time felt like a jigsaw, glueing the pieces together was a timely process. Originally taking the form of a poem written over the course of a cold and mundane January weekend, but it became a sign post for us as a band and a favourite of many in our live shows.”
Tune in now.
