Initially broadcast on Canal+, French drama 'Les Revenants' became a cult success.
Essentially following a group of deceased people who return to life without knowledge of their death, the supernatural drama was gripping viewing.
Mogwai provided a soundtrack, which was given a full release last year. Now A&E have taken on the option for an American adaptation, which will be named 'The Returned'.
A literal translation of the French title, 'The Returned' will feature music from Nicolas Jaar. It's not known yet how much music will be composed for the series, but it certainly bodes well!

The Returned focuses on a small town that is turned upside down when several local people, who have been long presumed dead suddenly reappear, bringing with them both positive and detrimental consequences. As families are reunited, the lives of those who were left behind are challenged on a physical and emotional level. Interpersonal relationships are examined with intrigue and depth as strange phenomena begin to occur.
Nicolas Jaar has been busy of late with his live collaborative project Darkside, alongside production work with Sasha Spielberg under the name Just Friends.
