Nick Hodgson Leaves Kaiser Chiefs

"I'm moving on."

Nick Hodgson has confirmed that he is set to leave Kaiser Chiefs after 15 years with the band.

Time to be moving on. Kaiser Chiefs may not quite be at their mid Noughties pomp, but the Leeds band retain a devoted following who pack out their shows in anticipation of The Hits. So those fans will no doubt be saddened to hear of the departure of Nick Hodgson.

In a statement this afternoon, Kaiser Chiefs confirmed that drummer Nick Hogdson is set to leave the band to pursue other activities.

"We can confirm that Nick has decided not to be in the band anymore and that our show at Reading Festival in August was his last as a member of Kaiser Chiefs. Nick tweeted earlier, “I can confirm I have left Kaiser Chiefs after 15 spectacular years. I'm moving on. I wish the band the very best! Ricky messaged Nick, “The door is on the latch and the key is under the mat…" before stating, “We’ve all had a while to get used to it – we’ve got a bunch of shows next year and things are sounding great in the studio”. Simon Rix sent his best wishes to Nick “good luck to ‪@nickkaiserchief with his plans. I can exclusively confirm we will still be collaborating on pints in pubs”. Here's to you Nick!"

Fair thee well, Nick Hodgson.
