Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have shared a trailer video for new album ‘Wild God’.
The band have completed work on their next statement, with Nick Cave ebullient in his praise of their work. Out this summer, the songwriter commented on its launch:
“I hope the album has the effect on listeners that it’s had on me. It bursts out of the speaker, and I get swept up with it. It’s a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious. There is never a masterplan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this, I don’t know, it seems we’re happy.”
The record was pieced together in in Miraval Studios in Provence, and thankfully a camera crew caught the process in action. A new teaser clip has just gone online, following the release of title song ‘Wild God’ as a single.
Showing Cave at his most fastidious, it also reinforces the communal nature of both creativity and recording for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
