Nicholas Allbrook Launches New Album ‘Manganese’

It's out on June 9th...

Nicholas Allbrook will release new solo album ‘Manganese’ on June 9th.

A key figure in the Australian psychedelic scene, Nicholas Allbrook has worked on all manner of projects as a musician, songwriter, and producer. His solo catalogue remains a vessel for some of his wildest ideas, with new album ‘Manganese’ set to land on June 9th.

Ahead of this, Nicholas Allbrook has shared new psych-pop bubbler ‘Round Round The Moon And All’. A song he sculpted some time ago but never fully finessed, something clicked during these latest sessions and it opened like a multi-coloured flower.

A neat piece of other-worldly melody topped off with a Thea Woodward flute solo worthy of Woodstock itself, it contains all the idiosyncrasies that make Nicholas Allbrook so beloved. He comments: “An old song I’ve never been able to record properly. Playing it with Rachel, Tayo, Edo and Cam made it work tho. Thea Woodward again plays magnificent flute.”

A song about “being love sick, wu-tang and crawling around Carillon City on acid”, Nicholas has also shared a neat live clip shot at Tunafish studios.

Tune in now.
