Rising multi-hyphenate Nia Archives has shared her new track 'Headz Gone West'.
The producer works from her bedroom, using old, and second hand kit to craft something DIY yet totally personal to her.
A full EP is incoming, and it blends together her innate love for vintage jungle breaks alongside a deep interest in modern soul.
Citing everyone from Burial to Erykah Badu as an influence, a full EP is incoming, with Nia Archives sharing new song 'Headz Gone West'.
Leaning on those Amen breaks, Nia adds a personal twist, with a hint of soulful melancholy in the mix too.
She comments…
“Making the EP was super fun! I had a little DIY set up in my room and I would sit up all night making loads of quick beats for fun… some of them I would end up proper vibesing to and so kept working on them. Overall the project is massively inspired by my love for breakbeats, jungle and DnB – and ‘Headz Gone West’ is the second track I wrote for it straight after ‘Sober Feels’.”
