'24 Karat Gold - Songs From The Vault' features unreleased material...
Stevie Nicks

An enduring icon, Stevie Nicks is currently touring the world with a reformed Fleetwood Mac.

However the American singer has been unable to avoid the clamour for new material. '24 Karat Gold - Songs From The Vault' is the artist's first album since 2011, and features material penned between 1969 and 1995.

Recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles with Dave Stewart and Waddy Wachtel, the album seemingly focusses on Stevie Nicks' love life.

The singer explains: "Most of these songs were written between 1969 and 1987. One was written in 1994 and one in 1995. I included them because they seemed to belong to this special group. Each song is a lifetime. Each song has a soul. Each song has a purpose. Each song is a love story... They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, the broken hearted and the survivors. These songs are the memories - the 24 karat gold rings in the blue box. These songs are for you."

As if that wasn't enough, the album is due to be packaged with Polaroids taken by Stevie Nicks at important points in her career.

Stevie Nicks has launched an official Instagram account, where she will preview snippets from the album.

'24 Karat Gold – Songs From The Vault' will receive a general release on October 6th - a special limited edition double vinyl album will be released on September 29th.
