A new sister label from the R&S stable is set to launch.
Chewy Motto is run by two clubbers – Chewy and Motto, strangely enough – who draw on their experiences of nightculture to forge something fresh.
The imprint aims to be as open as possible, drawing links between scenes and styles that traverse the globe.
The label launches with a new EP from Quays, set to impact on July 22nd. The production team have shared new cut 'Falling Down', and it's a wonderfully fresh-sounding piece of music.
The tinkling piano chords are reminiscent of jazz, while the deft percussive tick betrays the influence of UKG – then of course there's the vocals, from Atiena, aka performance artist and Arca-affiliate Sandra Brown.
