'Originals' will feature 14 previously unreleased tracks...

Prince is set to release new album 'Originals' on June 21st.

The artist's death in 2016 halted decade's of creativity, with the sprawling Paisley Park archives containing all manner of musical secrets.

Since then, the Prince estate have begun the task of sifting through these recordings, and assessing what could - and indeed what should - be released to the public.

'Originals' contains 14 unreleased recordings, essentially a full album of brand new Prince material, alongside the original version of 'Nothing Compares 2 U'.

The tracks were often recorded - to considerable success - by other artists, including such proteges as The Time, Vanity 6, Sheila E., Apollonia 6, Jill Jones, the Family, and Mazarati.

Out on June 21st digitally and on CD, a 2LP purple vinyl pressing follows on July 19th.
