New Panic At The Disco Project

Enter: The Young Veins

Former members of emo-rockers Panic At The Disco have unveiled a new group named The Young Veins.

Panic At The Disco formed in Las Vegas, and won their big break after inviting members of Fall Out Boy to watch them rehearse. Impressing the emo giants with their commitment and songcraft the band found themselves signed to Decaydance – owned by Pete Wentz.

The band’s debut album ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’ became a word of mouth success. Propelled up the charts by a series of dynamic videos and lengthy touring Panic At The Disco soon found themselves to be stars.

Currently working on their third studio album, Panic At The Disco were rocked recently by the departure of Ryan Ross and Jon Walker. The band are due to continue under the same name, and have re-assured fans that all live dates will be obligated.

Ross and Walker meanwhile are busy writing material for their new project. Titled The Young Veins the band have yet to make their live debut, but have moved quickly to get some studio time organised.

The new group have been working with producer Rob Mathes – who worked on Panic At The Disco’s recent album ‘Pretty. Odd.’. It is not yet known who will augment the full line up of The Young Veins, although Phantom Planet frontman Alex Greenwald also worked with the duo on a new track.

The Young Veins announced their existence to the world by crafting a MySpace page, which contains the brand new track ‘Change’. Currently streaming on the band’s site the track features contributions from Greenwald, who plays guitar on the song.

The Young Veins are set to continue work on their debut album throughout the year. Panic At The Disco meanwhile are putting the finishing touches to their third album, which is due to be released in September.
