Returning Scottish beardy folk royalty King Creosote is set to release his new single soon, and you can watch the video right now on ClashMusic!
Real name Kenny Anderson, King Creosote has been plying his lo-fi indie folk trade for over a decade now. The head of Fence Records, a small DIY label in rural Scotland, past alumni include KT Tunstall, James Yorkston, The Lone Pigeon and more.
But King Creosote has a well respected career of his own, releasing countless records before the general public began to take notice. Now signed to Domino, his debut album for the label is in the bag and the charmingly titled ‘Flick The Vs’ is due to be released soon.
Before then, however, King Creosote has the small matter of the annual Fence shindig Homegame to get out of the way. Taking over the tiny village of Anstruther the event brings together some of the most respected names in Scottish indie music.
Hotly tipped newcomers The Phantom Band are set to perform, with Malcolm Middleton set to unveil songs from his forthcoming solo album. King Creosote, of course, will play a set with the singer set to be joined by a host of friends and special guests.
King Creosote is set to release his new single ‘Coast On By’ on April 27th. Watch the video below…
