New Gorillaz Album ‘The Fall’

Out on Christmas Day

Gorillaz have revealed the title of their new album to be ‘The Fall’, available to download from Christmas Day.

The cartoon band, masterminded by Blur’s Damon Albarn and cartoonist Jamie Hewett, released their star-studded ‘Plastic Beach’ album earlier this year and have been on a World tour for most of 2010. ‘The Fall’ was apparently recorded on tour with guests dropping by for hotel room recording sessions on Albarn’s iPad.

Talking to Australian radio station Triple J, Albarn explained the title saying, “It’s called The Fall because I wrote it in October. I didn’t want to call it October because U2 had already used that. Although I like the word October, I like the month, I like the feeling.”
