Dance giant Fatboy Slim is set to team up with Herve for a new single due later this year.
Norman Cook has shied away from using the Fatboy Slim moniker. In the summer of 2008 the producer launched the Brighton Port Authority, with their debut album featuring a vast array of collaborations.
Taking time off last year, Fatboy Slim is ready to return this summer. Alongside a host of tour dates, the producer has united with electro house don Herve to work on a brand new track due for release this summer.
Available from June 14th, new single ‘Machines Can Do The Work’ is an Acidic workout. Much more than a throwaway collaboration, the track is already a feature in both producer’s sets and has being going off at venues across the world.
Due to be split into two parts, the collaboration has been remixed by some fantastic guest producers. Herve used his Action Man guise in order to get to grips with ‘Machines Can Do The Work’ with the likes of Joris Voorn and Modeselektor joining him.
Set to soundtrack the summer, Fatboy Slim has confirmed a number of festival slots alongside the single.
Already a star at Snowbombing, the DJ will kickstart the summer season with performances at SW4 and more. Fatboy Slim is set to return to Scotland’s wildest party RockNess, where he is practically a permanent fixture.
Returning for his third headline set, Fatboy Slim will have a few tricks up his sleeve for a festival he rates as one of the finest around.
Fatboy Slim and Herve release ‘Machines Can Do The Work’ on June 14th.
