Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip aka Neon Neon have embarked on one of the year’s most ambitious projects, and are set to continue their pop adventures when they release new single “I Told Her On Alderaan”.
Combining the Welsh wizard of wyrd folk with the California based producer led to one of the year’s most surprising albums in the form of “Stainless Style”. A concept album based around the life of international playboy and car engineer John DeLorean, the record was warmly received by critics.
“I Told Her On Alderaan” will be released on July 14th and features guest appearances from American maestro of filth Har Mar Superstar and Spank Rock. The single will be accompanied by a series of gigs including a special performance in a London car park where the group promise that anyone who arrives in a Back To The Future style DeLorean will be granted free entry.
“I Told Her On Alderaan” will be released on July 14th. Neon Neon will also play the following live shows:
June 28th – Glastonbury Festival
July 5th – Wireless Festival, London
July 6th – Crush, London
