Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip continue their John DeLorean inspired lunacy under the moniker Neon Neon with new single ‘Dream Cars’ set to be released on December 8th.
The unlikely pairing released debut album ‘Stainless Style’ earlier this year. After a Mercury nomination, some stunning live shows and rave reviews the doubters have well and truly been proved wrong. A concept album centered on the life of playboy car engineer John DeLorean, ‘Stainless Style’ was a wonderful musical collage.
New single ‘Dream Cars’ contains a stunning, punchy synthesized riff. A stand out on the album, it has already earned a reputation as a live favorite. The single will also contain a version of ‘Mr Right’ a wonderful ballad that was originally recorded by Cardiff post punk icons Young Marble Giants.
Neon Neon will support the single by playing a series of UK dates, with Tampa Bay gender rockin’ hip hop group Yo Majesty as support.
