Neko Case is set to release new album 'The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You' later this year.
Resolutely ploughing her own furrow, Neko Case has developed a unique songwriting voice. Veering between tragedy and good humour, each element is delivered with no small measure of panache.
Which is why Clash are glad to welcome a new Neko Case album into the world. Out on September 2nd, it's be given the grandiose (and quite wonderful) title 'The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You'.
"My brain wilderness is more dense and dangerous than I thought," she explains. "It was an embarrassing and hilarious march, but I now feel like a more streamlined being. It's a good feeling. Four years of my life took ten years hostage, then gave me back twelve."
Lead single 'Man' has been placed online. A driving assault on the senses, it features Neko Case purring the line "I’m a man…you’ll deal with me directly."
