Neil Young Live Album

Tracklisting Unveiled

Legendary singer songwriter Neil Young has revealed details of his forthcoming live album ‘Sugar Mountain Live’ to be released through Reprise on November 24th.

The new album will be released as part of the next installment of his ‘Archive Performance Series’. A parallel of sorts to Bob Dylan’s famed Bootleg series, the new albums will gather together some of the rarer elements of the Canadian songwriter’s career.

The first volume in the series will be ‘Neil Young Archives Vol. 1 (1963 – 1972)’ which has now been delayed to Spring 2009. This means the true volume one will be the forthcoming ‘Sugar Mountain Live’, recorded over two nights in 1968 at The Canterbury House in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The new album features songs from the brief career of Buffalo Springfield as well as some of Young’s earliest solo material. It includes a wonderful version of the title track ‘Sugar Mountain’ – written when Young was just seventeen.
