London guitarist and composer Nardeydey has shared new song 'Dreamin'.
The project is the work of Shirley Tetteh, an outstanding musician perhaps best known for her role in Nerija.
Nardeydey is a place for the composer to play some of her most personal ideas, with a full EP incoming.
Released digitally on Lucky Number, a limited 12 inch vinyl drop has been arranged with Rough Trade.
Lead song 'Dreamin' is online now, and it's playfully experimental feel encapsulates so much of what makes Shirley Tetteh such a vibrant figure.
She explains… "'Dreamin' is about being an adult but not being able to get your life together. It starts off using a conversation I had with my mum as inspiration about not eating all the food she'd cooked immediately or they'd be none left – with me adding the line about being unable to cook – even though that was not a part of the original exchange."
"That line, for me, is an interesting intersection of sharing shame with what might be self-pride: my dreams are why I can't cook though…"
