Nala Sinephro has shared new piece ‘Continuum 1’.
The composer has constructed her own creative universe, one adjacent to jazz while sharing many of its freedoms. New album ‘Endlessness’ finds Nala returning, a 10-track cycle of life and rebirth, hemmed together by the inventive use of a continuous arpeggio.
Out on September 6th via Warp Records, the first aspect of the broader work has been shared online. ‘Continuum 1’ brims with a sense of peace, its patient evolution marvelling at the quiet glories of creativity and invention.
Pointing to the wider canvas Nala is working from, the central arpeggio carries a meditative quality – appearing and re-appearing throughout.
