South African born songwriter Nakhane will release new album ‘Bastard Jargon’ next year.
The artist’s wonderful debut full-length ‘You Will Not Die’ merged their religious upbringing with a questing spirit, demolishing several barriers in the process.
Recently breaking cover with their ‘Leading Lines’ EP, Nakhane has now laid out plans for a brand new full length project.
Dubbed an “existential sex album” by its maker, Nakhane intends to release new 10 track LP ‘Bastard Jargon’ in Spring 2023. The songwriter comments…
“It’s an existential sex album. Almost every song on it has some kind of wink towards sex. It’s not necessarily a seductive, come to me, bedroom eyes kind of sex – it’s much more inquisitive, psychological sex. When I wrote ‘You Will Not Die’ it was at the end of my relationship with Christianity, and then when I wrote ‘Bastard Jargon’ I’d moved to London and I threw myself into just wanting to feel good.”
