Much-cherished songwriter Nadine Shah has laid out plans for new album ‘Filthy Underneath’.
The songwriter recently signalled her return, intimating that a new era was dawning. As it stands, she was absolutely correct – her incoming album ‘Filthy Underneath’ lands early next year.
Out on February 23rd, the record is the inaugural album release on EMI North. Alongside this, Nadine Shah has confirmed plans for a headline UK run, opening at Newcastle’s Boiler Shop on April 26th and closing in London’s Heaven on May 2nd.
Pre-sale for the tour opens on December 6th at 10am; the full ticket sale opens at 10am on December 8th.
Finally, Nadine Shah has also shared powerful new single ‘Twenty Things’. A song about recovery, it deals with complex emotions, locating humanity in people who are struggling to live from day-to-day.
She comments…
“It’s a love letter of sorts, to the people I met whilst in recovery. No-one tells you that you’ll end up feeling so deeply for the people you meet there. What makes it more intense is the fact that you know, statistically, that not everyone is going to make it once they’ve left the place. Some of the most unspeakable things had happened to these people and equally some of the most heinous things were done by them. You’re supposed to love the sinner and hate the sin. I loved them all.”
Tune in now.
