Kevin Shields has confirmed that My Bloody Valentine are to reform and will release a ‘new’ album this year.
The album will be made up of material being worked on when the band split in 1995 with added new material.
The seminal band inspired legions with their ‘Loveless’ album before dissappearing into the studio and seemingly fading out of existance. Expectations will be high for the new material which Shields has said sounds like the bands’ previous output. While the others activities are unknown Shields had busied himself with stints in Primal Scream and as an in-demand producer and remixer.
