American rapper Juice WRLD has died, it has been confirmed.
TMZ reports that the rap star suffered a seizure while leaving Chicago's Midway airport, leading to emergency services being called.
Despite being taken to hospital the rapper – who celebrated his 21st birthday less than a week ago – was pronounced dead by health services.
Police spokes-person Anthony Guglielmi told the Chicago Sun Times that there were "no signs of foul play" in his death.
It's a staggeringly cruel blow – Clash spoke to Juice WRLD a matter of months ago, and found a focussed, vastly creative artist, still coming to grips with his own potential.
News quickly brought a raft of tributes from across the music spectrum.
I can’t believe it… you were such a sweet soul. I’ll always remember meeting you and your family on the video set and thinking how close you were. You had so much further to go, you were just getting started. You’ll be missed Juice
