Music Linked To Personality

New Study Reveals Link

A new study by Heriot-Watt University has revealed that your taste in music may well be linked to your personality, after a survey that included more than 36,000 people.

The research was carried out by Professor Adrian North and found a surprising link between personality and a person’s favoured style of music.

The research has found that indie fans have low self-esteem, are not hard working and are not gentle human beings. Surprisingly for some, metal fans have emerged as kind, gentle types beneath the make up and studded boots. Fans of jazz, blues and soul can rejoice however as all three genres are linked to those with high self-esteem, who are creative, outgoing and at ease with themselves.

Its not all good news, however, as earlier this year a similar study found that drivers who listen to the blues are more likely to be caught speeding – no doubt eager to escape the hellhound on their trail.
