Muse For Roskilde

Teignmouth trio to headine

Teignmouth trio Muse have been confirmed as headlining next summer’s Roskilde festival.

Somehow, three small town oddballs with a passion for music have become one of the biggest bands on the planet. Muse began life as a cult curiosity in Teignmouth, but with their new album have conquered the globe.

‘The Resistance’ is the product of three year’s work, and is possibly the only album in history to unite Wagner and Marc Bolan. Reaching the top of the charts in more than a dozen countries the record was hailed by critics as an important new step for the group.

Since then Muse have played a handful of sell out shows across the country. Returning to Teignmouth the band performed a hometown show live on the BBC, broadcast to an audience of millions.

Now Muse have been confirmed as the headliners for next year’s Roskilde event. One of the biggest music events on the European festival calendar the Danish event regularly captures some of the best acts around.

The trio have been surrounded by rumours of their summer plans since confirmed massive British stadium shows for 2010.

Rumoured to be performing at next summer’s Glastonbury festival, Muse are also set to play festivals in both Germany and Portugal. However the band have definitely been confirmed for Roskilde, with only a handful of names being released.

American punks NOFX are due to play, with The Kissaway Trail also set to make an appearance.

Roskilde is set to take place between July 1st – 4th.
