British rock heroes Muse have sailed in the Top Ten in the United States with their new album ‘The Resistance’.
Muse have always been one of the most ambitious bands on the planet. Straight from their early days the band seemed that bit bigger, that bit more epic than any of their contemporaries.
Possessing one of the finest live shows in the world right now, Muse have worked hard in the United States building their success through repeated touring. Now, it seems as if America has taken the band to their heart.
Muse released their new album ‘The Resistance’ last week, with the trio hitting number one on the British charts. Scoring the biggest first week sales of the year so far, ‘The Resistance’ is the fastest selling album of the group’s career.
Now it seems as if the band are due to repeat their success in the United States with the album reaching number three. ‘The Resistance’ has scored Muse’ biggest first week sales to date in the States, beating off some prestigious competition to enter the Top Ten.
In total, Muse have hit the top spot on sixteen charts across the globe. The band currently sit at number one in Australia, Korea, Mexico, Switzerland, New Zealand and more.
Back in Britain, Muse have announced that The Big Pink are set to support them on their forthcoming UK tour. A noise rock duo turned classic rock fans, The Big Pink released their debut album earlier this year.
Tickets for the upcoming Muse UK tour will go on sale on September 25th.
