Mumdance has shared his 2015 FabricLive mix in full.
The producer returns to the hallowed London club space this weekend, with Fabric diving into the archives for a vintage mix. Constructed in 2015 as part of their FabricLive mix series, the selection has never before appeared on streaming services.
It’s an exciting moment, given the frenetic nature of creativity within London club culture at that time. Mumdance had been closely aligned to the Boxed crew in 2015, then in its formative instrumental grime sphere at East London spot Birthdays.
The mix also dips into his low tempo collaborations with Logos, a series of eerie aural paintings that seem to nod towards club tropes while pursuing atmospheric, zero-gravity ambitions.
Now online in full, the mix features 12 tracks that aren’t available elsewhere, and also dips into some of the producer’s more focussed, club-centric aspects – his almighty Novelist team-up ‘1 Sec’ is present in its VIP capacity.
Listening back for the first time since its release, the mix remains a stunning selection, displaying all the precocious nature of London’s underground electronic realms at that period.
Tune in now.
