Mt. Joy will release new album ‘Hope We Have Fun’ on May 30th.
Split between Philadelphia and Los Angeles, Mt. Joy have spent the best of a decade making music together. New album ‘Hope We Have Fun’ is their fourth full length project, and it eases Mt. Joy into a fresh chapter.
Out on May 30th, it’s led by a flurry of fresh ideas, including recent single ‘Highway Queen’ – also out now as a duet with Grammy-winner Maren Morris.
New single ‘More More More’ builds on this, with the astute songwriting powered by that decade of experience, a journey that has taken them from small clubs to huge arenas.
Vocalist Matt Quinn says of the incoming album…
We’ve all worked incredibly hard together and done ridiculous things in sickness and in health. You just kind of look up and you’re at Madison Square Garden with these people, and it makes you emotional — it feels like something you never could have dreamed. The album is a realisation that we pushed ourselves into this crazy world, sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. It’s a lot about sticking together in relationships, living a crazy lifestyle and just kinda saying, ‘I hope we have fun.’
Tune in now.
