Mount Kimbie Announce New Album ‘The Sunset Violent’

Alongside some UK shows...

Mount Kimbie will release new album ‘The Sunset Violent’ on April 5th.

The electronic group have built a singular catalogue, emerging from the skeletal remnants of post-dubstep to chart a singular path. Absorbing a variety of club tropes into their unique voice, Mount Kimbie are forever surprising, yet pleasingly reliable.

Out on April 5th, ‘The Sunset Violent’ is the group’s fourth studio album to date. Available to pre-order now, it boasts nine songs – including two guest spots from King Krule.

Out now, new single ‘Fishbrain’ contains moments of searing light, backed by some incredibly raw sonics. Tegen Williams directs the video, and it utilises illustration inspired by the charcoal animations of South African artist William Kentridge.

Looking ahead, Mount Kimbie will play a full European tour this summer. Hitting London’s Roundhouse on May 3rd, they will then play Manchester’s New Century on May 4th, and Glasgow’s QMU on May 5th.
