Mos Def Arrest Warrant

Rapper Wanted By Police

Acclaimed American hip hop artist Mos Def is wanted by the Las Vegas police department after an alleged incident involving a photographer on Tuesday (November 4th).

Frequently named as one of the best ‘conscious’ rappers (rap not involving guns and bling) around, Mos Def has had a warrant issued for his arrest. It has been alleged that the rapper ripped a camera from the neck of photographer Volker Corell, and Mos Def has been charged with robbery and destruction of property.

The photographer claims that he was cut on the left hand as a result of the alleged scuffle, and that repairs to the camera cost over £100.

Las Vegas police department say they expect Mos Def to turn himself in.

Mos Def last released an album in 2006 with the acclaimed ‘True Magic’ set. He is expected to issue new album ‘The Ecstatic’ in the new year.
